What are the benefits of the Motability Scheme?
When you lease a new powerchair or scooter on the Motability Scheme, it will come with insurance, breakdown cover, tyre and battery replacement, servicing and maintenance; so, you don’t have to worry about a thing. That’s why we like to call it the ‘Peace of Mind’ package.
Here at Countrywide, we can come to your home for free to carry out an assessment or provide a demonstration service if you require. This ensures that we find you the best product for you, without you needing to come into our Worcester mobility shop.
Plus, as part of the Motability Scheme, you will also be entitled to a brand-new scooter or powerchair every 3 years.

What are the eligibility criteria?
To qualify for the Motability scheme, you need to be receiving one of the following:
- Higher rate of the mobility component of the disability living allowance
- Enhanced rate of the mobility component of the personal independence payment
- War pensioners’ mobility supplement
- Armed forces independence payment

How do I get started?
Simply come and see us here at our mobility shop in Worcester and we’ll be able to take you through a range of products. Or, if you would prefer, we can come to your home and bring a selection of products based on your needs.
We’ll take into account a number of criteria to help you find the perfect product from the distance you need to travel, to the space you have to store it.
Once you have selected your product, our team will fill out the paperwork and schedule you in for delivery. And don’t worry; your new mobility aid will arrive fully assembled, making the process even more seamless for you.

How does the payment work?
You need to have at least 12 months remaining on your mobility allowance to join the Motability Scheme. If you don’t, then you need to ensure that the allowance is renewed with your benefit payment agency.
All payments will be organised for you. The Motability Scheme will arrange for payments to be deducted from your allowance every four weeks, then paid directly to them by your benefit payment agency. Any remaining allowance will be given to you as usual to spend however you choose.

2023 Motability Scheme Offer
